Interview with Olivemax & lovevintage200: How to Reach the Top of the Leaderboard

   Over the past 4 weeks Olivemax, Lovevintage200 and 26 others have been competing in the first 4 Rounds of Miss E-mazingstories. Miss E-mazingstories is a 5 Round contest in Club E-mazingstories, followed by a week of Voting in the Poll. The winner of the Poll, as voted by the E-mazingstories community, takes home the biggest virtual prizes in E-mazingstories history. The heat is on and these 2 have risen to the challenge. Each of them has a reason for wanting the title of Miss E-mazingstories and like many other participants, they're willing to try their best to get to the Poll!

Here are some Tips from Olivemax and Lovevintage200 about how they reached the Top of the Leaderboard: 

Q: Is this the first time you've reached the Top 4 in a contest, has the experience helped you? 

lovevintage200 says, "Yes this is the first time ever.This helped me because I feel more Confident."

olivemax says, "Yes, it's the first time I've reached the Top 4 in a contest. I wouldn't say the experience helped me, but it made me feel good, and proud. I was very happy to know that I'd made second place!"

Q: How much time does it take you to make a really nice entry, one that would make the top of the leaderboard?
lovevintage200 says, "I would say about half an hour."
olivemax says, "It didn't take too long... Maybe 5 minutes? Possible a little longer. No longer than 1O minutes."

Q: What things have you discovered about contests that you wished you'd known sooner?
lovevintage200 says, "That there really a lot of fun."
olivemax says, "They're fun! Haha... I never used to participate in clubs, especially any contests."

Q: Do you ever feel discouraged by competition, how to you power through it?
lovevintage200 says, "Then I just try hard next time. You cant be too hard on yourself."
olivemax says, "I haven't felt discouraged about any competitions in club E-mazingStories, except for Round 4 of Miss E-mazing Stories. It's for talents. I didn't think I had any exceptional talents. I powered through it by thinking I'm sure I have some talents, I just have to dig deep and find it in myself."

Q: What is your biggest strength/talent that helps you do well in contests?
lovevintage200 says, "I put how I really feel and give my own Opinion."
olivemax says, "I think it's probably my academic skill. I feel that I do well in that area, and it's probably what has helped me do well in the contest."

Q: Do you have any really good advice about winning Contests?
lovevintage200 says, "Just try you best and don't be afraid to add how you feel and add this about your life in it to make it more real."
olivemax says, "Well, my advice would be to probably just try your best! I know, that's so cliche, right?:P Be original, and think about how you really feel about the topic. express what you think, and never doubt yourself. Also, have fun! This is what these contests are for right? Fun!(: Don't stress over it."

How to Create a Custom Stardoll Dress

    Each item in the Starplaza is purchased thousands of times, which makes it very hard to be original. In order to create unique outfits, you must make the right combinations. That usually means layering objects and overlapping them. When you buy a dress, you might think there's only 1 way to wear it- but that's not true. 

    Today I'm going to show you how to create your own custom dress, using other items available in the Starplaza. Above is an example of one of my dresses, which I'm currently wearing in my Stardoll Suite. To create your custom dress, follow the tips and directions below:

1. Pick a color for your Dress: It should be a common color, because there are lots of items in popular colors and so it will be easier to create your dream dress. 
2. Put on the Big items first: It makes sense to put on the bigger/longer items first. You will have a better final product. (In the example above, I put on the long veil and white skirt on first)
3. Make sure the items overlap Correctly: In order for your dress to look right, you must make sure the items are overlapping correctly. 
4. Add items that Create Depth: Add items that are darker or lighter then the others, which will create a 3D effect. (In the example above, I put the grey skirt and short veil to create depth)
5. Match the Makeup to the Clothes: Your dress will look a lot more sophisticated if your makeup matches it. I suggest matching the eye makeup to the dress if your dress is a light color. If your dress is a bright or dark color, match it too your lipstick. (In the example above, I put grey eye makeup to match the dress)

FriendFeed Discourages Rule Breaking

    I want to praise Stardoll Staff for this newest addition to Stardoll. If you haven't become aware, there is now a purple bar on the left side of your Stardoll page. When you click on the arrow, it opens a sidebar which displays your Friends' most recent activity. Now you will see what your Friends are up to, and they can see what you're doing too.
    At first I was not happy about this new feature, because it makes Stardoll more like a social network. It means nothing you do can be hidden from your friends. It makes it easy to track your activity and takes away some of our privacy. For this reason exactly, this new feature is great.
    With the addition of this rule, our friends will know who we're messaging and when we buy items. This is discourage people from scamming, because they can't hide their actions. I think that friendfeed will make Stardoll a safer place. 
    People's friends will notice if they exhibit suspicious behavior, and then hopefully they will question it. I think the shame and disapproval from friends is enough to make a person think twice before they break the rules. 
    I'm excited to see this new addition to Stardoll improve the community and make the amount of scamming, hacking and rule breaking decrease.

New Yacht Suite- Is It Worth It?

Stardoll has added a new purchasable extension to your default 12-room suite: The Yacht Room.

It is on sale for 249 Stardollars, and is purchasable on the 'My Suite' Tab.

But, is it worth it?

I have purchased all of the suite extensions, except for the Loft, Penthouse, and the two extra suite rooms.

The little teaser picture that Stardoll sends you in your inbox looks like this. It doesn't look too special, just a deck on a boat. This can easily be created probably better and MUCH cheaper in the Suite Shop DIY section.
But, if you are looking to collect all the suite extensions, then go for it! Just think- is it REALLY worth all those Stardollars? 

Update on Finding the Stardoll Mystery Symbol

This is an update from my last post on the Stardoll Mystery Symbol. I recently found the NET in a discussion page of my Club E-mazingstories, but don't bother checking there yourself. This symbol's location changes constantly and randomly. Just keep visiting different pages and it will appear sooner or later. I wish there was some special trick, but it's really that simple. There is no way to predict it's location, so don't believe anyone who tells you they know. Also, don't believe anyone who tells you a certain action is required to achieve it, because that's not true either. That is all you need to know. It may take some time, but it's not impossible. If you haven't found it yet, I want to wish you luck. Happy hunting!

Tips for the "Stardoll 365" Achievement

  Once you've achieved 3, 7, 30, and 100 days in a row... there's only one more achievement to go, but it's a big one; 365 days in a row. To unlock this achievement you must log into Stardoll everyday for a whole year. You can log on using a computer or Stardoll access. This achievement is very difficult, even though it seems simple, because it's so long term. If you forget, just once, you'll have to start over.  I decided to make these tips so there will be no forgetting and no mistakes. I think that with these tips, you will reach this towering achievement- the first time!

Tips

• Log in using Stardoll Access; I suggest downloading the Stardoll Access app, because it saves time. Log in once, then as long as you have WiFi, you don't have to physically log in every day. It keeps you logged in, even if you forget.

• Set a reminder; Most devices can set reminders, so I suggest setting a reminder to "log into Stardoll" on a device you use everyday. If you can't set a reminder on a device, put a sticky note somewhere you visit everyday like the bathroom mirror. This will keep you from forgetting.

• Plan ahead for Vacations; In my opinion, vacations are the biggest threat to reaching this achievement, so plan ahead. Check where you'll be staying to see if they have Internet access. If they don't then you have two options; you can leave your device at home (still logged into Stardoll access and changing) or you can find a public library where you're vacationing.

• Phone a Friend; If you have a trusted and reliable friend, then they will be a big help with achieving "Stardoll 365". If you have a problem with forgetting to log in, ask your friend to text or call you and remind you. If you're going to be gone on vacation, ask your friend to watch your device while you're gone to make sure you stay logged in.

Ways to Celebrate 250,000,000 Stardoll Users

1. Throw a Party• Invite your friends and/or club members to a party in celebration of Stardoll's fantastic achievement. Set the dress code to purple and blue to match the theme of this event and discuss your favorite Stardoll memories. 
2. Hold a Contest • Create a Contest in your favorite club to celebrate this event and encourage your members to make sceneries, suites or designs congratulating Stardoll on 250 million users.
