SubCouture - Collection 2 Review

Click this picture to head to the SubCourture shop!

Yesterday, Stardoll launched the second collection of their rare brand, SubCouture. SubCouture is mainly dresses and gowns, but this collection also has a couple tops and bottoms. The dresses range from 21-30 Stardollars. Of course, because this is a rare brand, there is no starcoin items. Sorry non-superstars! Now, let's check out the items in SubCouture. (As you can see from the timer in the corner, there is only 18 hours left of the store being here in Canada, where I live)

The store seems to be divided in half. On the left side, there are more girly, brighter, summery-er dresses. On the left there seems to be more darker, mature, elegant dresses. I really like how original some of these dresses are. Dresses like the Miles Of Chiffon Gown are so simple and basic, but I really haven't seen it on Stardoll. I think items like that are items Stardoll users have been waiting for, only too bad this store is only available to people with large amounts of Stardollars.
Miles Of Chifffon Gown

As for the individual outfits with a top and a bottom, I don't like them very much. Of course this is just my opinion, but I think they look a lot like other things in Starplaza. The outfit in the middle that is all black I think looks horrible. Plus, if you look at the items individually, they looks worse. The top, in my opinion, is horribly ugly. I just think SubCouture should have stuck with the dresses and gowns. It seems to me that dresses and gowns are what Stardoll is best at!

My SubCouture Collection 2 Items
So, all in all, I think SubCouture is a great store for those who love gorgeous dresses, and have tons of Stardollars to blow. Of course, after today, anything from this collection of SubCouture will only be available in the Starbazaar for way way waaaay more money that it was originally sold for in the store. Luckily for me, I was able to get my hands on some SubCouture items before the store was taken down.

So, this store will be taken down in a couple hours. Do you think Stardoll will put out a Collection 3 of SubCouture? Have you bought anything from this collection? What's your favourite item? I sure hope Stardoll releases a third collection for SubCouture, because I think the dresses are gorgeous. I just hope Stardoll sticks to desiging dresses for this brand, because personally I don't think the outfits are the prettiest.

I think we can probably be looking forward to SubCouture No. 3 in the Summer/Fall, maybe with bright summery dresses and cute, seasonal fall dresses. This collection did great capturing the spirit of winter, as well as the spirit of spring!

Miley Insprired Purse

Miley Cyrus is a major trend setter! Stardoll has created an inspired look from one of the purses she wore at an event called Armani USA. Of course she's rocking the outfit, even in doll form.

In my opinion, Miley is a very inspiring artist. She isn't afraid to show the real her. She shows people that it is okay to change, just to actually be yourself for a change. Her sense of fashion is off the wall, ballistic & daring, which I find very interesting. I wouldn't say I'm the biggest fan of her music, just who she is as a person. What do you guys think about her? Do you like Miley? If so, why or why not?

People You Should Avoid

Hello guys, it's Peyton (ZendayaLovesMe). There has been a person on Stardoll who resides in the UK who has been going around sending friend requests telling people to go to this cheat engine website. Some of the usernames are JagodaS2, loopytutti, IcyEvelynT, and vitoriaR96. This mysterious user keeps making accounts to try to hack you. Never go to the website stardoll.thecheatplanet.com, it is a hacking website and you can lose all of your starcoins and stardollars in no time. They're trying to mess up your mind just to get your money, delete your clubs, your friends, and maybe even delete your account period! I have received 3 friend requests from these people. JagodaS2, loopytutti, IcyEvelynT, vitoriaR96. I will show you them below. Report them, block them, and report them again so they're gone and they don't steal your money! The way they find you is by going to the members section and going to everybody they see. We'll never know who the real person behind all this is, but all we know is we need to not bump into these people, unless your up for the challenge of your account getting deleted.

These are friend requests I got from the hacker.

Spread the word about these people, so we know they're gone forever!

About Stardoll's New Look 2014

Just a few minutes ago I refreshed my page and to my surprise, Stardoll has a new look. This is quite a big change, in my opinion, the biggest since the 2010 makeover. In this post, I'll explain the good things and the bad things about this change. Feel free to share your opinion the comments.

Let's start with the tabs bar.

  • It's black now! - Everyone knows that black is always in, so this color change is a timeless and sophisticated choice. I think the black kind of clashes with the rest of the page which is all light colors, but who knows, maybe that means there's another update coming? I had always enjoyed the light, bright feel of the old look, it added to the kid friendly atmosphere, but that's just my two cents.
  • Everything's centered! - Getting rid of the borders and individual tabs in exchange for this centered look was wise. I think it's more sleek and definitely modern. It saves room on the side for the gift-o-meter and hopefully space for exciting new tabs in the future...
  • No more Help tab? - One of the first things you'll notice is they're minus a tab, but don't worry. They moved this button to the top of the page (we'll talk about that in a bit). I think that's a good choice, because most older members don't need that big button all the time. Now it's smaller, but just as accessible for new members who need a hand.

Now let's talk about the medoll box thingy:

  • The Stardoll Logo remains! - It's moved a bit, but the logo is still there and it hasn't changed visually. It's a little bit smaller now though. I think it's presence complete's the new look quite nicely.
  • A Username mistake? - I don't know if it's just mine, but Stardoll's new look as broken up my username. They need to widen the margins where the username goes, so all the characters can fit on one line. As a perfectionist, this little awkward username mistake will drive me crazy, especially since there's a giant line where it could fit!
  • More things to click! - Before, this box was just for our currency, starpoint level and to log out, but we have a new addition. As I mentioned above, the help button (previously a tab) has moved to the medoll box. The buttons below the username are as follows, from left to right: Daily tasks, account settings, help and log out.
  • It moves with us! - Previously, we had to scroll up to see our pretty faces, but now the bar moves when we do. Just like the bottom broadcasting/chat bar, it will always be there now. I think that's a handy new feature I look forward to taking advantage of.
  • Bigger Currency Trackers! - Now we can see how broke we are in bigger font! It looks we've got a new twist on our stardollar and starcoin tracker. Also, we aren't being asked to add more stardollars anymore, as I see the button for that has been removed. That's interesting...

Again, I'd like to encourage you to share your opinion about Stardoll's new look for 2014. Do you like the new changes? Is your medoll broken up like E-mazing's? What do you think is coming next? Tell me in the comments.

Modeling on Stardoll Interview ft. Friedchen and FASH10NISTA

Hi guys! I've found 2 dolls that are models on Stardoll (just like me), Friedchen, and FASH10NISTA. I decided to interview them on their thoughts on Stardoll modeling.

1st interview: Friedchen
Q: How do you feel about modeling on Stardoll?
A: Good, it's a really fun hobby that I think should be recognized more on Stardoll.

Q: Who are the top 3 toughest competitors you've ever faced in modeling, and how did you feel about competing against them?
A: Jebam, Issysmileyface, and Jodierox10. I have no personal feelings about them. They are all talented models. It's always good to have competition, that's what makes modelling fun.

Q: O
A: 8/10, I think i'm pretty experienced with poses because i'm able to do side poses.

Q: What are three things a Stardoll model should be?
A: Kind, hard working, and creative.

Q: Any final advice for people that wan't to be Stardoll models in the future?
A: Take your time in doing your tasks and keep practicing :)

2nd interview: FASH10NISTA
Q: How do you feel about modeling on Stardoll?
A: I think this is a great way to show off people's creativity and to really show how amazing sceneries can be and to see what fashion and poses everyone comes up with.

Q: Who are the top 3 toughest competitors you've ever faced in modeling, and how did you feel about competing against them?
A: I would say 3 of the best that come to mind are: Jodierox10, PrincessxSkye, and issysmileyface as they all come up to amazing sceneries and poses. I love competing against such great models as it makes you try that much harder to get your sceneries up to that high standard, and it wouldn't be so much fun without a little competition. ;)

Q: On a scale of 1/10, how would you rate your posing skills?
A: I would say an 8/10 as I have been proud of some of my sceneries however I still have room for improvement. I think everyone does.

Q: What are 3 things a Stardoll model should be?
A: Hard working (definitely), Creative, and be a Fashionista (sometimes there's fashion tasks in modeling).

Q: Any final advice for people that wan't to be Stardoll models in the future?
A: Don't be disheartened if when you first start our Stardoll modeling and others don't like your sceneries or poses because if you keep practicing then you will get better! Also, remember that Stardoll modeling isn't always just about the pose - modeling is about creating a scene (with decor) but with the main focus on your model. And good luck to any future models, add me on Stardoll or gb me with any questions if you need answers @FASH10NISTA :)

Thank you to Carmelle (FASH10NISTA) and Frieda (Friedchen) for doing this interview with me.

Here is the 2nd place scenery created by Carmelle in cycle 1 of PlatinumModels (my club)

Here is a scenery Frieda created called "Catching Air"
As you can see, they both are very good at posing.

Inside the World of Stardoll Modeling (ft stargazl_04)

Click on any username or club name in the text below
to visit that person or place on Stardoll.com

I interviewed stargazl_04 to get an inside look at the world of Stardoll modeling.
Since joining in November 2012, she has had over 35 modeling jobs and opportunities.

Q: What is a Stardoll model and what do they do?
A: A stardoll model is a user that joins modeling clubs and competes in cycles. They fill out a sign up sheet, and wait for the first task. If they get in, then they complete a series of tasks using sceneries and posing skills. One by one, they'll be eliminated. Whoever is the last one standing, wins a cycle. You don't have to join a club to be one. You just need to learn how to round joints, make your poses realistic and have fun with it.

Q: How do you become a model on Stardoll?
A: It's simple, just sign up in clubs. I don't know which one I joined first, KiwiModels or StardollBiffles. If it was StardollBiffles, this was my first cycle I won.

"Don't give up just because you may be/are an amateur. Everybody starts out like that. Just, keep on modelling." -stargazl_04

Q: Who are your favorite models and why?
A: There are so many, so it's a tie between three people; issysmileyface, OrangeHerb, and Jodierox10. All of them are actually very nice. We go to parties together, we chat. We just like having fun.

Q: What makes models successful in your opinion?
A: To some girls, it's obvious; winning, doing amazing poses, being accepted into high professional clubs, etc. Really, it's just the effort. You can obviously see a love for modeling in people's sceneries. That's the most important part.

Q: What common mistake do you see models make?
A: There are many, but mostly it's either they don't have a floor, or they don't have a link for glitches. One website a model needs is Imgur. It's a safe and virus-free website where you can screenshot before you save your sceneries, save it on your sceneries, and post the link. If anybody needs more info, just message me.

Q: How hard is modeling/becoming a model?
A: Once you learn, it's easy. It's just that people don't know how to do it.

Q: What is your reason to win NCG?
A: Sometimes I didn't actually try to win, I just did and others boredom. (idk ;o)

Q: How does it feel to win NCG?
A: It feels wonderful, it show's you that people really love your medoll, and your looks.

Q: Where do you mostly go to tell people to vote you?
A: I normally go to chat rooms, and I ask my friends to help spread the word so I can win.

Q: About how much money do you spend on NCG?
